The story is set in Poland during WWII.Eli Rosen, his wife Esther, and their son Izaak in a town called Lubin, their life changes after Nazi’s invade their town, take over their company and transfer it to Maximillian Poleski, he promises Eli to protect his family and keep them safe.
Eli’s promise is Eli’s story from Lubin Poland to his life in DP camp and eventually to Chicago to find the mean who broke his promise after 25 years and watch him pay for his crime.
This book was an emotional read for me with fully developed characters. The storyline is uniquely penned. I appreciate Autor’s ability to describe the details and how his writing helps you connect with characters and feel their emotions.
Eli’s Promise is a rich, powerful, and emotional novel that does not disappoint you. If you like Historical fiction then you will enjoy reading this book.
