-A Good Neighborhood

A Good Neighborhood
By Therese Anne Fowler

Oak Knoll neighborhood is a beautiful quiet place where the Whitman family moves into. and they are looking forward to enjoying their achievement which is their home, lovely family and happiness.
Valeria Alston-Holt is their nearest neighbor with home they share an old Oak tree between their yards.
This book is a heartbreaking yet beautifully written tragedy. The characters are very different, and they tell us their thoughts and their reason for their actions.
The final scene is caused by an event that is controlled by greed, racism and religion.
A very well written compelling, Eye opening and sad story.

-The Dark Side

The Dark Side

By Danielle Steel

The Dark Side is another great book by Daniel Steel, I would say darker than what she usually Writes though.

Zoe is the main character of this story with an amazing husband, a job that she loves and beautiful baby girl. But things are going different than what she expects.

She had a difficult childhood because her sister had leukemia and her mother spend all her time and energy for Rose (Zoe’s sister). her parents divorce after Rose’s death and Zoe had a very lonely childhood.

Zoe has her own unusual ideas about parenting and believes that children should have the freedom to choose what things may be harmful to them. Austin (Zoe’s Husband) is going along with her plan since he is also a first-time parent.

Austin’s mother has concerns about Zoe’s parenting and talked to Austin about it and that was when he started to look into the dark side.

The Truth in Our Lies is another great book penned by Eliza Graham. A thrilling, historical novel set in WWII.

The main Character Anna has experienced a trauma that caused the death of her sister and her facial disfigurement. Complications caused by this experience made her a responsible person that she is today.

Anna is one of the writers of the Clandestine radio broadcasts aimed at Germany during WWII. This book is the story is her journey and is about overcoming barriers and keep going when all you want to do is to give up and surrender.

The Girls of Pearl Harbor-

The Girls of Pearl Harbor

by Soraya M. Lane

April and grace are two sisters working as army corps nurses in Hawaii, who are enjoying all the adventure in the island. And they don’t know their life is going to change when Japanese army bomb peal harbor on December 7th, 1941.
The bombing causes an extreme damage to the harbor, and they have destroyed building and ships. April, Grace and their new friend Eva are involved immensely with terrified patients and caught up in the battle zone. Hoping Japanese wouldn’t return and bomb the island again.

This is when USA joins its associated forces and participate the WII to fight Japanese. This is when the girl decides to move to North Africa.

Their individual life stories and emotional situations they deal every day is a making this book extremely emotional. How these girls became best friend and helped each other through this unbelievable tragedy is admirable, Soraya M, penned such a beautiful story that I as a reader sometimes felt like I was right there next to the girls
