The Woman in the Park
by Teresa Sorkin and Tullan Holmqvist
Sara, a stay-at-home mom, believes her husband is having an
affair. She is going through a very unhappy marriage and her children are
attending school thus she feels lonely all the time.
Then one day when she is spending time reading in the
central park, she meets Lawrence, a stranger she falls in love with. They both
share interests, he shares his feelings with, and Sarah finds happiness with
him and they continue meeting at the park until she becomes a prime suspect
when a woman goes missing in the same park, the police show up at her house and
Lawrence is nowhere to find.
Her husband and her therapist both doubt her, and she has no
other option other than finding a way on her own to prove she is not guilty.
This was a really fast book for me, I have to say if you are
a thriller lover this one is going to be hard to put down.
The story is well written and intriguing, it’s a
psychological thriller full of twists and surprises. The story has two main
parts, Abstract, and Reality. The second part is through Sarah’s POV.
I really liked that the story was set in different realities
and I kept having doubts about what was real and what was only happening in
Sarah’s mind.
