-Gabriel's Promise

Gabriel's Promise

by Sylvain Reynard

This is book four of Gabriel’s Inferno Series by Sylvain Reynerd. I’ve missed Gabriel and Julia’s story since I last read the third book in 2013. The story of their love is breathtaking and beautiful, now that they are married, we get to know more about them, they now have a baby girl named Clare.
The book starts with Gabriel and Julia (his wife) looking at their newborn daughter Clare. Then as their story continues Julia is struggling to balance finishing her studies with challenges of being mother of a newborn. Meanwhile she finds out that there are people who are coming in between her and her husband for revenge and this becomes so serious that the danger forces them to abandon their home. Julia is a strong brilliant woman and she won’t allow anything separate her from her beloved husband.
Even in book four as a married couple their love is evident, there is a lot that Gabriel has to take care of and like always he continues to be in control. This book validates the fact that no matter how hard people, life, and series of even are against this two people to separate them, Gabriel does not let anyone harm his loved ones.
More into the story we get to see all the rise and falls in their life that is not helping them to have an easy life and all these brings back the previous concerns from their past.
In book four we see a stronger and well-established character for Julia, whom in previous books had a very delicate personality. Now she is the one who does everything she can to protect her family.
The story is a bit of a suspense, I felt like there was always something happening that I could not guess.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the ARC.
