Things you save in a fire
by Katherine Center
Cassie, a 26- year- old firefighter in Texas,
is an outstanding firefighter whose co-workers think she is very lonely, yet
she keeps herself busy. She is on the point of receiving Austin Fire
Department’s Valor Award as the first female ever received this award.
While she is anxiously waiting to hold her award, there is an announcement that
the award presenter is going to be someone else…..
And things start to happen one after another,
she is having an emergency of her own and have to move to Boston and start her
firefighting career over in a tough, old-school Boston firehouse .and
everything changes in her life in a way she never anticipated.
This was the first book I read by Katherine Center,
very well written, an easy read. things you save in a fire is a story of
forgiveness, family, love and passion. A hilarious story and a must read.
